Hi I am founder and owner of Onyeka Tefari. My passion for learning has led me to becoming a Certified Massage Therapist, Licensed Esthetician, Registered Yoga Instructor, Yoni Steam Facilitator, Herbalist, an Avid Hiker, and so much more. In each of the services offered, I attempt to incorporate some benefits from each of the other disciplines I am licensed in. As an example, a massage isn't simple a massage. I include awareness as an esthetician of the oils and lotions I use to ensure it is optimal  for my clients' skin. I incorporate gentle stretches throughout each massage based on my knowledge of the body, and yoga practice. When incorporating aromatherapy into our session, I draw from my knowledge as a herbalist. My goal is to provide a holistic experience that is unique and customized for each of our clients.

Having been raised to grow the food we wanted to eat, and to always honor the environment, I can say my journey started at childhood as a junior indigenous herbalist. A part of my journey led me into engineering, and being in a heavily stressed environment. Encouraging my team to calm down and chill (the islander in me), I suggested daily meditation. Since no one knew how to lead a meditation session, I studied to become a yoga instructor. Through the process of becoming a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT200), I learned about incorporating massage therapy into my sessions. I continued my studying to go on to become certified as a massage therapist (CMT) with a focus in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Asian Body Work. It also was during this era that I decided to seek formal training as a master herbalist.

One of the joys of working with a large number of people are the encouragement to seek further training. One of those trainings was to be a licensed esthetician. It was at the constant request of many of our existing clients that I offer skin care and hair removal services that led me to a new liscensure. I am excited for all of the upcoming opportunities to continue to learn and grow. I also look forward for the many lives I will be able to positively impact with my gifts.
